What do you learn in a basic film studies course?

I'm planning on taking the basic film courses in college before declaring a major. What kinds of things do you learn in this class?|||Intro film studies classes include history of film and media. Usually it's pretty dry unless your professor is very entertaining. You may also learn about different kinds of film theory %26amp; crit (feminist, marxist, etc).
