What is the film with an escaping theif using quite a cool trick?

My friend told me about a film where it ends with a theif escaping with stolen goods of some sort and they lead whoever is looking for them into a sort of museum where everybody is dressed the same and they just escape. It sounded quite a good film and i couldnt find out what it is! Any ideas??|||could be the Thomas Crown affair. that happens at the end. there was an old film, plus it was remade with Pierce Brosnan.......
